PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a sciency name for one of the most widely used plastics in beverage containers. When it's recycled and made into new products, you get recycled PET (rPET)! That's the only plastic you’ll find in our bottles now.

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) is a strong, durable and easily recyclable material that is used in the creation of most water bottles. Recycled PET or rPET, is made from post recycled material. rPET saves large amounts of energy and greenhouse gas emissions when compared to virgin or vPET.
Yes. Since April 2021, all Core products and sizes feature rPET bottles with the exception of labels and caps.
No. Only the bottle is made from rPET, though the bottle, cap and label remain recyclable. Make sure you put the cap back on the bottle when you recycle so each component can be recycled together.
Yes, the bottle, label, and caps are 100% recyclable. Remember to replace the cap on the bottle before recycling.
